Known locally as Sangre de Grado, or Dragon's Blood, this tree sap of the Croton Lechleri tree has been said to have beneficial properties for skin and has been used for centuries.

There are several distinct advantages by sprouting and selecting trees from seed.  Our Dragon's Blood remains highly potent due to harvesting the entire tree at the perfect time. Using food grade collection equipment, our trees yield higher volume than wild crafting, and cause no harm to the rainforest. We can allow the young trees to thrive by removing weeds and planting crops for food that require shade from direct sunlight.  The intense labor is also reduced for the workers that would venture deeper and deeper into the Jungle to make cuts on the trees and attach collection jugs to capture the sap.  While wild crafting may be sustainable in very low quantities, it creates a situation where the natural tree is left in a suspended state of unnatural growth or even a slow withering death.  The potency is greatly reduced along with a diminishing yield with wild crafting.  We feel that our afforestation model of growing our own trees for harvest will prove to be the most ecologically responsible method of providing Dragon's Blood to customers.
